I'm Jaime, sharing my real journey back to health, faith, and feeling like myself again. Welcome, sweet friend.

When the reset button gets stuck.

When the reset button gets stuck.

When the reset button gets stuck. Why? Because it gets pushed way to much. Hi. I am Jaime. The girl who lost 113 pounds in 2016. Shared her story with the world. And…is a repeat offender of hitting the reset button. I am so over the reset. So let’s flip the script.

Here I am. The girl that will not give up. No more hitting the reset button. Just doing this weight loss, health journey of mine. Sharing the good, bad and ugly. And all the in between. One second at a time. Leaving that darn button stuck and just doing this. No more resetting. Restarting. Refocusing. Finding myself. I’m Just Jme. Always have. Always will be. So this is my new chapter of my story. The Chapter. “The day I stopped hitting the button!”

How will I do this? One day at a time. Seeking Jesus every second of every day. No fads. No shortcuts. No quick fixes. Calorie deficit. Weighing and Measuring my food. Water. Walking. Workouts. Yoga. Journaling. Reading. Soaking in God’s word. Being intentional. Letting go of excuses. I want to start and end my day knowing that I can and will do this. I do need accountability. But most of all, I truly believe this is what I was called to do. That’s why I share my story. So you my friend will not have to do this alone. Better together.

Hey Jaime, Remember when you said you would never be overweight again…Sharing can be hard at times. It’s definitely very humbling. I am that girl who lost all the weight. And gained it back. Well it happens. Life happens. Here is the beautiful part. All that I have experienced on my journey. Is what is making me stronger. In the ups and downs of my story is where I have found the most growth. What I have gone through, I am growing through. Helping me see that I am incapable of doing this alone.

This is my story. He was just waiting on me to let go of myself. Of being skinny. Of the “look at me”. He wanted me to trust His plan and purpose for me. Not my plan. God has given me another chance to share about how He has changed my life. Not how weight loss has changed my life. How He has changed my life. My story. Is about Him. I will share. Grow. Learn. And praise Him every step I take. In every moment.

Walking through Scripture. Walking in His purpose. Walking in His promise. Not my own. Not me helping myself. Not me being skinny. But being His daughter. His light. His story. That I get to be apart of. So I will do that. I will share every step. Every hard day. Every good day. Every lesson learned. In this chapter. I hope you see Jesus. The best is yet to come.

Here’s to day 1 of my new chapter.

Will you walk with me? With Him? He has got us. All we have to do is let go and allow Him.

Today was on of those days.
